The Bachi Amaa Foundation supports a children’s home for a maximum of 15 children by providing them with accommodation, the basic needs of life and education. In addition, the Foundation supports 30 children from the Anandaban Leprosy School Fund.

Targets 2011-2015:
Purchasing land and constructing a safe home for children outside Kathmandu.

2014 Two more children join the family.
  Anna and Annette visit Nepal. Anna stays in Nepal for three months.
  An area of land is purchased in Pokhara and the construction of the earthquake-resistant house begins.
  The second edition of the Westerparkloop (Westerpark Run) takes place.
  The second edition of the “Bachi Amaa House Party” takes place.
  Wilde Ganzen (The Wild Geese Foundation) visits the children’s home in Nepal.
  Theo Geurs joins the management in the Netherlands as a board member.
2013 As a result of water problems, the home moves to another house in Kathmandu.
  Four children join the family.
  Rojee Kattel leaves the Supervisory Board. Kancha Shrestha takes over her position.
2012 Sponsored run during the Amsterdam marathon; many runners are sponsored by their friends and family to raise money for the Foundation.
  Benefit party at the Westergasfabriek.
  Income from above events: €34,621.10
  The Foundation signs a partnership agreement with Wilde Ganzen (The Wild Geese Foundation).
  Ivana Kobas leaves the board and is replaced by Annette Schutte.
2011 Anna and Ivana visit the children’s home in Kathmandu and expand their network around the Foundation in Nepal. They also spend a few days on holiday with the children.
  John Bour takes photographs and makes films for our website.
  Income Benefit lunch and donations: €7,185.88
  As regards policy, important steps are taken in the professionalisation of the Foundation.
2010 Great Wall Marathon in China, the first sponsored run.

  Rupa and Rup Lal’s family grows to include 11 children.
  Start of fund raising for the construction of a house for the Foundation.
2009 The Foundation’s website is online. New volunteers join the Foundation.
  Expansion of management in the Netherlands and Nepal.
  Income Benefit party, Rag week in Maastricht and donations: €72,747.75
  Chairwoman Anna Theuvenet is voted Student of the Year at the University of Maastricht for her contribution to the Bachi Amaa Foundation.
  The education of 10 children is supported by the Anandaban Leprosy School Fund. Children who have leprosy or whose parents have the disease are eligible for support from the School Fund.
  Registration of the NGO Bachi Amaa in Nepal.
2008 Rupa and Rup Lal move with their two children and 6 “foster” children to a bigger and better house.
  Income from donations and benefit party: €10,558.50
  Four more children are housed at the home.
